Assistant Canyon Leader Assessment

ACA Assistant Canyon Leader Assessment – RSVP HERE
To become an Assistant Canyon Leader in the ACA you must pass the Assistant Canyon Leader assessment (Prev. CL1). Your skills, training, etc can be from any place or any classes you have taken. Bottom line is you need to pass the ACA assessment. It is a comprehensive assessment of the ACA skills checklists 1-3 (Core, Aspirant, Asst. CL).
TAKE NOTE – the skill checklists have been updated so make sure you have the current one which is located here: ACA Checklists
There will be a written exam in addition to assessing your skills.
THIS IS NOT A WORKSHOP, meaning you should have a good understanding and know how to apply your skills already. You have some time to prepare and if you have questions or need clarification, please contact the assessment host.
RATE: $100 Per Person. Tax and Meetup processing fees included.

Payments are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable
TRANSPORTATION:
Transportation to/from training areas is not provided. Roads are rough. Please plan ahead with an appropriate vehicle.
GEAR:
We have basic gear available for rent. Rates are PER DAY and CASH ONLY.

THE SHOP:
We stock our favorite gear, equipment and ropes. Course discounts are applied 🙂
WEATHER:
The weather in Escalante can change quickly whether before the course or during it. We expect that you come prepared with rain jacket/gear.
